Nouveau boîtier US en carbone moulé
Les Glide V3 sont équipées de notre nouveau boîtier US en carbone moulé, développé en interne par Takoon. Grâce à leur rigidité incomparable, ces nouveaux boitiers apportent une connexion au foil inégalée, une parfaite transmission des efforts et un feeling sans pareil.
Nos nouveaux box de foil sont fabriquées en carbone préimprégné, polymérisé à haute pression et haute température dans un moule en acier. Ce processus permet d’obtenir un boîtier avec des fibres longues de carbone bien compactés, ce qui le rend tout simplement indestructible et ultra rigide.
Grâce à cette construction, si l’on compare nos boitiers carbone aux boitiers classiques comme les Futures, le gain de rigidité et de robustesse est considérable. En effet, généralement fabriqués en plastique injecté chargé avec de la fibre de verre en fibres courtes, les boitiers classiques peuvent présenter de la déformation à l’effort. Sur l’eau, cela se ressent sous forme d’un temps de latence dans la réactivité du foil, que ce soit pour le pumping, pour carver, ou pour les manœuvres. Avec nos nouveaux boîtiers carbone, la transmission des efforts est instantanée et la connexion est ultra rigide.
Plus longs, ces nouveaux boitiers donnent beaucoup plus de liberté de placement de votre foil. Ils viennent en 2 tailles: 33 cm et 38 cm en fonction de la taille de la planche. Ils sont ainsi plus longs de 6 cm et 11 cm que les boîtiers futurs. Ainsi, vous pourrez affiner vos réglages, afin de trouver la position personnelle qui vous convient le plus.
Ils bénéficient aussi d’une double ouverture par rails pour un montage plus rapide : plus besoin de démonter entièrement vos boulons de la platine, il suffit simplement de desserrer les vis, de faire glisser le foil dans les ouvertures et de resserrer les vis et hop, le tour est joué.

This new version is intended for riders looking for a stiffer and more powerful V2. Indeed, with its rigid handles, the V2 Ultra offers a more direct, more precise feeling, as well as superior performance in race, but also extra power in freestyle.
These carbon grips give the Wing increased overall rigidity. Low-end power is greater, pumping is easier. The front handle, with an angled angle, has been designed to give you better navigation comfort and superior forward traction.
To allow you to inflate/deflate your wing faster, the V2 Ultra has larger diameter One-Pump hoses.
For the rest, it's all the best you already know from our wing V2! Freeride, surf, downwind, freestyle and more than ever race: the V2 Ultra can do it all! Still just as compact, accessible and efficient, it will bring you impeccable sailing comfort, whatever the conditions of the day, and whether you are a beginner or an expert.

The Takoon V2 Ultra wing is made for all riders: whether your program is freeride, surfing, downwind, freestyle and even racing, you will find the wing you need in the V2 Ultra. We particularly recommend it to competitors and speed enthusiasts, who will be able to navigate with a harness by positioning one end directly on the rigid handles.
To adapt to your size and the conditions on your spot, our V2 Ultra is available in no less than 6 surfaces: from 3.5m² to 6m².

Our wing V2 Ultra is available every half square meter from 3.5m² to 6m², in other words: the choice is yours! Whether you want to build a quiver of one, two or three wings, you will inevitably find one or more Wing V2 Ultra adapted to your size and the strength of the wind on your spot.
Keep in mind that you need to adapt these recommendations to your local conditions, i.e. if you only have very light wind on your spot and only want to equip yourself with a single kite, then choose rather for the largest wing recommended (example, 5m² for -55kg), and vice versa if you only have strong wind (eg 3.5m² for -55kg). Also, depending on your level, the volume of your board and your pumping skills, you can adapt the surface of your wing, the choice is yours

The carbon handles of the V2 Ultra give the wing increased general rigidity. The power at low revs is greater, the feeling is more precise, the pumping is more direct. The front handle, with an angled angle, has been designed to give you better navigation comfort and superior forward traction.
Compared to the V2, the carbon handles of the V2 Ultra slightly increase its weight. This is the reason why we have chosen to use carbon handles in order to limit the impact. Also, the carbon will have allowed us to design solid handles while having an ergonomic shape.
Due to the more direct feeling of the rigid grips of the V2 Ultra, it will be less comfortable to ride in overpowered conditions than with the V2. Keep this in mind when choosing your wing size. In addition, we do not recommend rigid handles for beginners, as they can cause additional shocks on the rider, but also on the equipment.
Our wing V2 Ultra is made of Dacron Triple Ripstop which offers rigidity, resistance and lasting performance over time. It is also a durable and repairable material.
You will go out in all weathers with our wing V2 Ultra! From 8 to 38 knots, you can navigate without limits thanks to its range width of 3.5m² to 6m².
We have estimated that an “average” 75kg rider with an average board size will be able to take off from 8 knots with the V2 Ultra in 6m², which, despite its large surface area, has a compact shape that is easy to handle, especially for pumping. This same rider will also be able to fly up to nearly 40 knots by equipping himself with the 3.5m² with its Depower handle specially designed for strong winds.
Between these two extremes, the wing V2 Ultra each have a wide range of use of around 15 knots. No matter the wind, you will always find a Wing V2 Ultra that you need!
Carbon grips
Thanks to its carbon grips, the V2 Ultra offers you a more direct, more precise feeling, and increased general rigidity of the wing. They allow the wing to obtain superior performance in speed and race, but also extra power in freestyle. In addition, these handles will allow you to improve your low navigation range thanks to the more direct pumping they generate.

Equipment
In addition to the carbon handles, you will find on our Wing V2 Ultra a surf handle in the axis of the batten, for an ever more stable freefly where the Wing is forgotten. On the 3.5m², you will no longer be able to do without our Extra Depower handle which was so successful on our V2 as it revolutionizes your sailing comfort in extreme wind conditions.
Indeed, by exceeding 30 knots, the pressure on the front hand as well as the movements of the wing on the axis of the leading edge become increasingly important, creating an uncomfortable navigation, sometimes even uncontrollable. This Extra Depower handle will allow you to considerably smooth out the movements of the ears and the leading edge of your wing, and thus reduce the pressure on the front hand. It's an amazing feeling that will allow you to push your limits of navigation in very strong winds.
For a more precise inflation, the valve of our wing V2 Ultra on the leading edge allows to know with precision the pressure present in the wing. This valve is compatible with the majority of pumps on the market and does not require an adapter. The same recommended inflation pressure is the same for the whole range: 7PSI, maximum 8PSI, to be adapted to the conditions of the day (for example for lightwind, you can aim for the maximum pressure to obtain more rigidity and power).
To extend the life of your wing, the Wing V2 Ultra benefits from Kevlar reinforcements in critical areas.
The Wing V2 Ultra bag has a clever net that allows you to store your Wing with the central strut inflated, for faster storage and drying of your wing.
