How do I store and maintain my Takoon wing?

If storing for a long period be sure to rinse with fresh water and allow your kite to air dry. The blocking tabs of the one pump connections must be open as well as where the inflation valves are. Fold your wing on itself starting from each end towards the central part by strips of about 20 cm wide without tightening. Once your wing is in a strip, you can fold it in 30 cm sections starting from the trailing edge towards the leading edge and letting the remaining air escape through the deflation valve. Once you have obtained a set of approximately 40 cm by 30 cm, you can store it in its bag which should preferably be stored in a dry place and protected from rodents.

My wing is deflating, what should I do?

You have to start by identifying where the leak is coming from: It can come from your inflation / deflation valve or even a perforation in one of your bladders. For the valves, check that they are correctly closed and for the single inflation / deflation valves, check if the seal between the valve body and the cap is in place (in case of loss you will find one in the repair kit delivered with your wing). Otherwise you have to check which of your socks is leaking. To do this, inflate your wing normally then block each of the cleats located on the one pump connectors between the slats and the leading edge. Leave your wing as it is until you identify which bladder is not holding the pressure correctly. Once the flange has been identified, proceed with dismantling and repair as indicated in the user manual.

How many bars should I have?

All our wings, whatever the model or size, are developed with our Sweet Barre in 48cm size.

We nevertheless recommend the use of the Sweet Barre in 54cm for wings of 12m² and more.

My wing does not stay at the Zenith and pulls to the left or the right, what should I do?

This situation is probably due to a difference in length between your lines. Several causes can generate this kind of situation: Insufficient pre-stretching of your lines, over-stretching of one of your lines following excessive tension. To correct this, make sure you have no knots in your lines, fix your four lines to the same fixed point symmetrically, then grab your bar, stretch your lines and make sure they are the same length in the lined position (bar and clam cleat).

How soon will I receive my online order?

Our shipping times mentioned when you order are from our warehouses. The preparation time for your order is not included in this period. It takes a delivery time of 24 to 72 hours in metropolitan France and up to 4 days for Corsica.

Count 3 to 4 days for Europe and 4 to 6 days for any other destination.

I haven't received my order, what should I do?

Start by checking to see if you have received a pending notice from the carrier in your mailbox. This notice gives you instructions on how to collect your package.

Can I offer an Internet order to someone?

Yes it's possible. You must therefore choose a delivery different from your billing address.

Is it possible to benefit from tax-free sales?

Yes, according to the tax law in force, the tax refund applies to travelers having habitual residence in a non-member state of the European Union or in a third country (the overseas departments, Monaco are excluded). From 175€ of purchase including tax excluding shipping costs, we can deliver in France and provide you with a tax refund slip to be validated by French customs when you leave the territory. Once this slip has been stamped by customs within 3 months of the date of purchase, we will refund the VAT.

In order to benefit from this tax refund, once your order has been validated, you must send us by email to sales@takoon.com a copy of your passport, a registration card from your consulate or any other certificate proving your residence in the stranger.

We will then proceed with the refund within a maximum of 30 days, either by bank transfer (attach bank details), or by crediting to the bank card used during the purchase.

Our orders are payable in cash, your account will be debited within 24 hours, at each stage of the process we send you an information email until the tracking of your package(s).
