Why is the city of Cape Town so unique?

During the winter the conditions are extreme 3 or 4 days a week. The temperature difference between air and water generates powerful thermal winds from November to the end of February. The best in the world come to train here. It is also here that every year the Red Bull King Of The Air takes place.

What are the best kitesurfing spots?

The best spots in the Cape Town area are Sunset, dolphin beach, Big bay, Muizenberg, Misty Cliffs, Witsands and Langebaan.

How were the conditions during the shoot?

The wind picked up in the middle of the afternoon. There were between 25 and 30 knots.

Did you beat your personal record?

We had several exceptional days, the windiest in recent years with peaks of 50 - 60 knots. I reached 25.4m, it was truly epic and just an amazing feeling!

Long or short lines?

I rather prefer short lines in heavy conditions because the kiteloops are more extreme and committed. This does not give room for error.

Some good addresses in Cape Town?

There are the two essentials of Blouberg: The pakalolo for the after session and the sunset then the Jerry's to eat a burger with a view on the table mountain
