Nouveau boîtier US en carbone moulé
Les Glide V3 sont équipées de notre nouveau boîtier US en carbone moulé, développé en interne par Takoon. Grâce à leur rigidité incomparable, ces nouveaux boitiers apportent une connexion au foil inégalée, une parfaite transmission des efforts et un feeling sans pareil.
Nos nouveaux box de foil sont fabriquées en carbone préimprégné, polymérisé à haute pression et haute température dans un moule en acier. Ce processus permet d’obtenir un boîtier avec des fibres longues de carbone bien compactés, ce qui le rend tout simplement indestructible et ultra rigide.
Grâce à cette construction, si l’on compare nos boitiers carbone aux boitiers classiques comme les Futures, le gain de rigidité et de robustesse est considérable. En effet, généralement fabriqués en plastique injecté chargé avec de la fibre de verre en fibres courtes, les boitiers classiques peuvent présenter de la déformation à l’effort. Sur l’eau, cela se ressent sous forme d’un temps de latence dans la réactivité du foil, que ce soit pour le pumping, pour carver, ou pour les manœuvres. Avec nos nouveaux boîtiers carbone, la transmission des efforts est instantanée et la connexion est ultra rigide.
Plus longs, ces nouveaux boitiers donnent beaucoup plus de liberté de placement de votre foil. Ils viennent en 2 tailles: 33 cm et 38 cm en fonction de la taille de la planche. Ils sont ainsi plus longs de 6 cm et 11 cm que les boîtiers futurs. Ainsi, vous pourrez affiner vos réglages, afin de trouver la position personnelle qui vous convient le plus.
Ils bénéficient aussi d’une double ouverture par rails pour un montage plus rapide : plus besoin de démonter entièrement vos boulons de la platine, il suffit simplement de desserrer les vis, de faire glisser le foil dans les ouvertures et de resserrer les vis et hop, le tour est joué.
Presentation
The Slate Midlength is an extended version of our Slate board, designed to push the boundaries of paddle-in surf foiling. Similar to a longboard, it enables you to glide and take off on even the smallest, softest waves—well below what you're accustomed to surfing. Its long, slender outline offers excellent paddling comfort and remarkably easy takeoff.
In wingfoiling, for riders proficient in waterstarts, the Slate Midlength is an ideal board for wave riding. Playful, fast, and featuring smooth glide, it allows you to surf all types of waves, with the ability to execute powerful carves thanks to its refined shape.
Available in three sizes, ranging from 40L to 50L, the Slate Midlength is aimed at intermediate to expert riders seeking an easy-to-paddle surf foil and a high-performance crossover board for wingfoil wave riding.

Molded carbon US boxes
The Slate Midlength features our molded carbon US boxes. Ultra-rigid and indestructible, they offer an unmatched connection to the foil, perfect transmission of forces, and a unique feel. Made from pre-impregnated carbon and molded under high pressure and high temperature, these boxes outperform classic injected plastic models. The result: no deformation, immediate responsiveness, and optimal performance for pumping, carving, and maneuvers.
Carbon boxes with double slot opening
The new carbon boxes on the Slate Midlength offer unparalleled freedom of positioning. You can adjust your settings precisely without hitting the front or rear stops, for a position perfectly adapted to your style. Thanks to their double rail opening, assembly is quick: simply loosen the screws, slide the foil, and tighten again. Less time assembling, more time on the water! These rigid boxes maximize your sensations and control.
They make the whole setup more responsive, giving the impression of using a smaller front wing. Become one with your foil and experience enhanced performance!
Shape
The shape of the Slate Midlength draws its inspiration from the Slate, which has the ideal characteristics for surf foiling as well as waveriding in wingfoil. It is a simple, refined shape that offers excellent glide and allows you to perfectly follow the curve of the waves. The slightly lowered rocker promotes maximum glide while enabling a quick and clean take-off without unwanted movements.
For the Slate Midlength, the focus was on optimizing volume within a minimalist, slim, and elongated shape, providing exceptional paddling comfort. With its high ratio and midlength longboard-style outline, the Slate Midlength will allow you to catch every wave while paddling.
It is a board with a lot of volume, which ensures effective rebound on the water. With its beveled rails and concave hull, the Slate Midlength doesn’t stick to the water and is very tolerant of touch-downs, even during strong carving maneuvers.
Tail
The Slate Midlength is equipped with a rounded tail, designed to provide smooth and continuous water flow.
This design allows for a narrower rear section while maintaining excellent stability, and it promotes maximum paddling speed.
The round tail also helps retain inertia and glide, making it ideal for take-off phases in soft conditions or when gaining speed before lift-off.
Rocker line
The Slate Midlength features a moderate rocker, optimized for speed and paddling efficiency.
A slight kick in the nose has been added to provide security during take-off phases, especially in steeper waves or during late lift-offs.
EVA Pad
3.5mm: that's the thickness of the EVA pad on our Slate Midlength. Multi-piece and grooved, it provides excellent grip and comfort while riding, and ensures better water drainage on the deck.
